In this scenario, you can either choose to hit, which means asking for another card, or stand, which means you do not want additional cards. If at any point in time, you cross 21, that’s when you have lost the bet.

Insurance

You will be offered a side bet if the dealer has an ace card. The insurance works as a safety net and is entirely different from your original stake. But, insurance is not the best bet in most of the situations so we will not recommend that.
